About Christian Filmmakers

This is a community of filmmakers helping filmmakers tell stories about every part of our faith - stories like the stories Jesus told. We hang out together to share our art and thoughts and equipment. We organize contests to shine a spotlight on our best storytellers. We believe that a community of healthy communication, friendship, and trust will equip filmmakers to more effectively teach the good news of Jesus Christ.

This is a not-for-profit organization and web site. We welcome suggestions and donations for improving this site.

History - After the 2005 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival, a group of 20 young filmmakers started a Google Group email list to stay connected. The community grew and moved to http://www.christianfilmmakers.org in 2007.

Faith and Values - The administrators and moderators of Christian Filmmakers agree with the traditional values and doctrines of the Christian faith. Members do not need to subscribe to any statement of faith - we welcome anyone who wants to participate in our community.
