it is currently 1am and we are 10 hours from deadline.  Our film is edited and locked and our editor is in the throes of sound mixing. After a very rough rough edit the film has really come together.  It flows well and looks great.  Going on about three hours sleep from last night. It’s going to be a long night…

After pulling an all nighter with our editing team to finish edit tweaks, sound design, mix and color correct we finally got every finished and exported around 8:30am.  Film was mailed to 168 around 9:30am, 90 minutes before outline.  Going on 4 hours sleep over last 48 hours.  But the film is done, it looks great and it is something we are proud of.  Now for some sleep…

Top 20 films are named today.  Hopefully we’ll get shortlisted this year.  In the mean time we have a behind the scenes doc that just got finished and mailed in today and we hope to have a trailer cut in the next week or so.

Top 20 was just posted.  We made the cut!!!

The short film I directed, “Shaken”, also made the top 20!

Ours was “Static”  We are team 16.  Are you going out to the festival this year?  Dallas is going to be well represented with three teams making the top 20.  I think there will be a big group of us heading out there.

Add one more to the crowd from Dallas! Looking forward to seeing your films at the festival, Joth and Alan. Congrats on getting into the final 20.

Dwayne Tarver’s Belle/Godless, from what I heard, should be screening also. It’ll be out of competition though.

Yes, I’ll be attending the festival, but I live in L.A., so it’s not the jaunt you guys have.  I look forward to seeing you guys there!
