What do you guys think about doing a quick holiday 24-hour video contest? I’ve been polling my friends to see if December 26th would work. Or we could do it before Christmas, or after New Years. But I feel like doing it the week between would be good.

Thoughts?

I probably can’t participate unless we get some equipment worked out here (the flip cam we won probably won’t come in the mail by Christmas, and I need to fiddle with getting footage off the VHS camera that we got recently.) but my thought is that many people will be traveling (or dead tired) on the 26th. The 27th or 28th is probably better.

Various brainstorming ideas are floating around in my chat-friends world. One is that we should do a 12-hour contest between Christmas and New Years with a one-minute limit on videos. Essentially they’d be commercials.

Okay, right now we’re thinking of doing a 12-hour video contest on December 28 (Monday) with a one-minute limit on the videos. Prize is $500. Entry fee is $10. We’ll try to find five judges. What do you guys think?

I’d be interested, if I could team up with someone else. As I think I said, us Noordhoeks’ camera probably will not be here by Christmas. (we have a mini-VHS camera that we recently acquired, but I need to work on how to get the footage onto the computer) I dont’ know what I could do to help, but it’s a project I would love to get some experience with. smile

But what would the theme be? Just random, or Christmas related?

Hey, how hard can it be to make something a minute long?
