I haven’t felt this “Wow” since the night my family went to see ‘The Fellowship of the Ring.” It feels like James Cameron crafted a delicious world for us to experience.

The design of the plants and animals and light is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. The plot is simple. The 3Dness is immersive. The theater was totally silent throughout the movie. I was torn between the need to continue, and my overfull bladder . . . almost deciding to suffer the pain and not miss a moment. The trees are gigantic. The bugs and phosphorescent plants are alien magic. A tree falls.

I want to see this again in IMAX 3D.

Why can’t this be in the AVATAR Review thread, we’re going to have a ton of different reviews sitting around with everyones comments split up

Actually, I was going to check the old review thread, but I get annoyed when review threads start before a film is even released, cause then I have to go through to find the page where people who had actually seen the film started posting.  :|

Sorry Kyle. <grin> I’m excited about stuff and having to post in a ten-page thread that no one will read was too boring.

I walked out of the theater a couple hours ago and I felt like I was floating.

I was watching FOX Business channel yesterday and they had a feature
about AVATAR every 20 minutes.  They also were hyping 3D animation and
the new films scheduled for next year, Shrek: Final Chapter and How To Train Your Dragon.

Here’s a more balanced review that’s not so caught up in the hype:

Nathaniel related his experience with the film, not with the advertising.

How is that being caught in the hype?

Curiously,

Who’s actually seen the film? <grin> Okay. After sleeping on it, I do have some criticisms of the film. But, it was still awesome and I’m going to go see it again.

WOW

I just saw it. It was a long movie but by the end when I finally returned to this world I can safely say that it was by far one of the best movies I have ever seen.

see it in 3D.  :D
