Jeffrey, have you talked at all with Jimmy Broyden? He works in “violence in film”, and consequentially as put a lot of thought in to this subject.

I am reminded of the old TV series Kung Fu in which the old man who was gentle and peaceful had the amazing (violence) martial arts to use as protection, self-defence, etc. Also, Walker, Texas Ranger was the same premise - a “G” rating with bits of (violence) as needed to deal with the bad guys. Christians are at war and, in my humble opinion, we need to see that some (violence) in Christian films can actually be a good thing. You go, Samson!!

Just from my memory of the program, I would be shocked if Walker, Texas Ranger was considered G-rated material (with the obvious conversion of film-TV ratings).

In G-rated films, it is a very rare exception that a person is killed on-screen.  That’s why so many Disney films revert to the bad guy dying by a fall or something, instead of having the hero kill him.

Also, I seem to remember a scene where a bad guy starts to rape a girl in WTR.  :|

I stand corrected. Walker was PG-13.

Haha, no problem.  I actually think a PG would have been more fitting…  :?

That was super awesome! Thanks for sharing. :D

Yes, I have been able to talk with Jimmy Broyden. He has been a huge help to me trying to figure out what to do and where I should be heading. I’m so glad God has people like this out there I can find.

Off subject a little.
I really want to make it clear to everyone here my purpose on these fourms is to help anyone I can out in any way possible. Wether having me come on set to do action scenes, or i’m even willing to just talk to you about how i do some of my stuff and what techniques I use, I want to help.
I’ve even been thing about making a beginners guide to filming a fight scene. Would anyone here think they would like a guide on making good fight scenes?

That sounds like a fun idea. I for one have no idea how to go about doing it. (BTW did you see the thread on sword fighting a wile back?)

Do you have a demo real or anything were we can see your work?
