Thanks, man.
I’ll post a link to episode 2 tomorrow/today (4:15 AM or so here). 8)
That was hilarious, and the music was great!
“That’s not a Zephyr blade, it’s a Zephyr biscuit”.
Hahaha!

Hahaha!
“So, you’re eating that Zephyr blade?”
“Yes.”
Although I must say, my favorite line is Mirdon’s last line (and the next-to-last line of the episode) ...
“So that was our day?!?!?”
Save the Cat!
Cheers,
Calix
(...the cat’s with Blake now…)
Ha!

Hahaha! I love it! I laughed out loud twice, with the headphones on.
On the musical side, I noticed that there is no music between the opening master shot and the part where Walken talks about the guy. (Only noticed on second viewing, though, when I went back to pay full attention to the music and, to my surprise, found none!
)
Glad you enjoyed it, Eric. 8)

Indeed ... nothing needed music in there.
I’ll talk more about the spotting my “scoring blog” later. But the short version is, we have some establishing music for the castle, and then some foreshadowing of the coming battle with Calas, Titanus, and the Nanadoo. The rest of the episode is very dialogue-driven, with little movement and/or “stuff happening.” (Except the cat, of course, but music with that would have made it too serious.)
Episode 3 hardly has any music.
But episode 4 has a good amount, which I’ll be doing in the next day or two.
Good observation, Eric! 8)
Cat blew up!
Awwwww
ROTFLOL
Yeah, great moment. 8)
(Which, by the way, is effective filmmaking on multiple levels: writing, cinematography, acting, sound design, and of course music!)
