I added the brief episode 3 cue to my web site. It’s just a few notes as the troll enters, but it’s there! Smile

Episode 4 is coming on Thursday, and I’ll be sure to upload the episode 4 music ASAP. I’m really proud of it. Cool

Episode 4 is out, and so far, it’s been a big hit!

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/doraleous-and-associates/1453-Episode-Four-Battle-of-Wetald

It’s been at least as well-received as the pilot, which is awesome. At least 1,700 views so far today (just the ones that watched the episode from the thread, and that’s the only number I have to go on right now; I suspect it’s actually much, much higher). What’s really cool is that as of this moment, there are 101 responses in the thread, and every single one is positive! Cool

There’s a good deal of music in this one, basically the whole first half of the episode. But something weird goes on with their compression; we’ve been trying to get a good mix, and when we think it sounds good, it ends up being too loud or too quiet on the Escapist site. In this case, most of it is a little too quiet ... but oh well! You can still hear it, and the episode itself ties with the pilot for my favorite so far. Cool

I love the part when Wetald chief says, “I don’t know, Doraleous. My best man has a wooden leg with a real foot!”

Laughing

“Drak, get ready. I think you’re about to fight.”

And a couple other lines that I probably shouldn’t quote here ... Razz

I couldn’t stop laughing when Titanus came out and then drops dead.

Yeah, I laughed really hard when Brent told me about that a month or two ago, along with the “worst vs. worst” idea.

We talked about the music beforehand, and I/we decided that the music should be fairly serious and build in tension over the first half of the episode, because the whole Neebs/Titanus thing was the payoff. I wanted to set the stage for a serious situation, build some nervous tension, and then deflate it like a popped balloon when the arrow hits Titanus. It was funny already, but with the epic music building nervously to that moment and then stopping in its tracks with in a “Huh?” kind of manner, I thought it would make it even funnier. Brent said something to the effect of, “Well, yeah dude, go for it!”

Seems like I/we were right! Cool

You just redundified my awesome white text.  Evil or Very Mad

By the way, I liked the music of Episode 4 best.  I especially like how the drum kind of sounds like the gallows beat.  Smile
