Here’s Thorin’s first costume and sword! He doesn’t have to have the battle ax if you don’t want it; but I needed something to put in his hands. smile

Wow! Great work on the Gandalf, Matthew!
You too, Carolyn. Is that sword the one he picked up from the troll cave? Whatever it’s elven name is?

I’m having a lot of trouble with Smaug.  :(  It looks like a need a lot more practice on dragon making! Anyway. Here is another rough draft. Let me know what you do or don’t like about it, Joe. And, as always, feedback from others is welcome too.

The wings are off screen on purpose, I still haven’t decided how I’m going to do them.

Hi! I’m a noob, but I like to draw. I was wondering if I could do wood elfs in general?  smile

Carolyn, looks pretty good. i’d like to have it without curled toes on his boots and black pants instead of green. but the rest is good.

Great work, everyone!!!  It’s such fun to browse everyone’s art and see how they interpret the character.  I haven’t read the Hobbit (so I’m not volunteering :D ), but I’m working my way through the “trilogy” for the first time and enjoying it.

So I hope you don’t mind a spectator.  smile

i really like the fist one i think you should go with it, the second one is to fancy.

i’d like to see him with a shorter tunic and pants. also the sleaves should be square i think.

but i love the look going keep up the good work! (can’t wait to see it in color!)

I like your direction! I have some extra time today, so expect something sometime tonight.  Also, by square sleaves, you mean not torn and tattered at an angle, right?

Catch you later,
Matthew
