Wow where is everyone else on this forum Paul? 

We are anticipating some 50 qualifying entries.  A one in 50 shot at $10,000 is a pretty good deal if you ask me.

I’m looking forward to seeing your entry.

Please do your best to spread the word.  I really like CF.org it would be great publicity for this site if the winning entry came from a member don’t you think?

I can assure you that we will announce where the entry came from at the Gideon which is sponsored by LifeWay.

i think i might try and do this… we will see what i can get done.

I can’t enter for a number of reasons laid out in the rules, plus my general busyness. Maybe another year! (someday if I can write something that’s not sci-fi/fantasy… :D)

a. Comedy, Romantic Comedy, Drama or Suspense
b. No Action, Horror, or Science-Fiction

and

e. Include a subtle Christian message

Something I’d like to say about this contest.

First, rarely do you see any screenwriter’s contests that are free; the ones that are demand your participation on a read and grade situation to find the winner (they don’t have funds so they don’t hire judges, the contestants find the winner). The last one of this kind that I can remember was Project Green Light 1 and 2.

Second, this one is free and does have “industry professional judges”
 
Third, when these new contests come up, their continuance tends to depend on the participation, so…if “we” want to see more of these, and maybe see them evolve to something better, “we” would need to make a point of participating.

Just MHO.

Well, I am not eligible to participate this year, but maybe next year - in fact, maybe next year I’ll actually have a script done for it that isn’t sci-fi.

I would enter, but I haven’t got a script that qualifies right now.  I have a story idea, but I’m not ready emotionally to take the journey that it requires right now.  But I wanted to do it!  I really did!  I’m going to have start working harder on my writing so I have more scripts to submit to things like this when they come up :D .

Dear all,

Two sections of the Rules & Regulations for the Raw Talent Screenplay Contest have been amended:

1) There is no longer a location limit, but less than 8 locations is the recommendation and less than 5 is still ideal.

2) The page number requirement is now 75+, but 90-100 is still ideal.

One thing that has stayed the same is that the final deadline is April 1st!
