Not quite a film but I think that this definitely goes under philosophy.

So I while back I read this book by an author who was considering getting it published. They had never published a book before and didn’t know whether they would be a crowd interested in something like this. It’s a blatantly Christian sci-fi book that’s completely realistic. Written by an actuary so what can you expect. Anyway when I say realist I mean that there’s no beam me up thingies no laser gun weird crazy aliens(no aliens in fact) and none of the cheesy stupid retardness that seems to plague modern sc-fi and especially Christian sci-fi(what little of it there is).

But anyways the book is amazing and I would love to see it published. Right now the author is publishing it on this blog site. There just uploading a chapter a day. I can’t say strongly enough that the book is astounding. As one person who read it stated it’s a thrilling read that wont insult your intelligence.

So please go check it out. One of nice parts is you can chose to follow it from a facebook, gmail, or Twitter account and you don’t have to register with the blog site and each chapter is open for comments and discussion.

Anyways it’s an excellent book that’s been through countless rewrites and the author has been working on it for around eleven years. It’s a great book that I would love to film one day. The authors would really love some feedback about it though if anyone one here would like to read and post what they think.

Just thought I’d tell you and see if anyone in this world would like some good christian sc-fi. I know I would. It would also be nice to see some one film and I think that this it an excellent example of what a good sc-fi story should look like.

The author is as the link says E. C. Sheats and the working title is “The Twelve”

Really sorry about that.

hope you will still read it as it’s a very good book.

wow…

talk about an epic fail though.

I certainly hope we have food replicators that operate via matter conversion by 2363.

And along with that particular technology come two other biggies that basically work along the same premise: holodecks (i.e. the ultimate in virtual reality/3-dimensional entertainment, which is arguably where film is heading!) and transporters.

Gilbert Morris wrote some great Christian young adult sci-fi serries’. The Seven Sleepers is the best and he also wrote a Seven Sleepers Lost Chronicles serries.  If you like the “beam me up” type sci-fi then read his Daystar Voyages serries.

A note, I read these a long time ago - that is not my reading level. That said they are well written and anyone would probably enjoy them. You would just read them faster.  He has written some good adult serries’ as well.
