Standing Firm, a new film from Praise Pictures is in production in Lewiston, NY. The film is in Post-Production currently seeking distribution for a 2010 Worldwide DVD Release.

STANDING FIRM is a story of forgiveness and finding peace in times of suffering.

Dave, a widower, is working himself to death. Late nights doing paperwork and running on fumes is the norm. Bills are piling by the week, and foreclosure looms on the horizon. Dave’s attitude towards the church and God are of anger and resentment. Blaming God for his wifes death, he ends his relationship with the church. Steven, the only remaining Christian of the family has been watching his fathers unhealthy lifestyle with great concern.

God moves on Steven’s heart to stop complaining about his fathers situation and help him instead. With the help of his best friend Maggie, they work to reach Dave in anyway they can.

As Dave begins to move in the right direction, he searches for the ultimate question about his wife’s death…..WHY?

Give it a look, more info, new design (much slicker), it’ll be kept up to date like crazy trust me.  God has also brought some neat things my way in the last week already since the sites launch that he gets all the Glory for.  I met Dave Christiano last summer on the set of his brother Rich’s movie The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry.  We got to chat for a while and I emailed him the other day to let him know about my project.  He seemed to my surprised interested in “helping.”  Not sure what that means but it got my blood pumping a tad.  I’ll find out soon in what capacity he is interested in helping.

Another update, 2 in one hour, God moves faster than I thought Not an hour after I posted the previous update I was contacted again:

I have another name to throw at you…not Dave C. this time, but Ben McLeod, 2nd AC on Facing the Giants & 1st AC on the recent Fireproof, and the brother of Jason McLeod who played Brock in FTG.

Specifics for later, If cloud 9 means your incredibly stoked/happy/overwhelmed then I’m on cloud 15 or somewhere abouts.

Update: 1300 views to our site since launch…it’s only been just about 2 weeks.  Insane…thanks for the support everyone!

Looking really good, Kyle. Great organized site, just like Nathan pointed out. Plenty of options right at viewers fingertips on how they can get involved.
