Mammoth Film Festival

Mammoth Film Festival will have a new Faith-Based film category, which will debut as a competitive category at the 4th Annual Mammoth Film Festival, taking place December 8-12, 2010, in Mammoth Lakes, California.

The Faith-Based category is open to a broad range of films, both documentary and narrative style, of any length. Work submitted in this category must use faith-based, religious, or inspirational themes in the characters, topics, issues, or storylines. Films accepted into competition will be vying for the Best Faith-Based Film award.

International Family Film Festival

The 16th annual International Family Film Festival will launch on March 16-20, 2011 at the Raleigh Studios, Hollywood, CA. This festival will include the Screenwriters Showcase, Panel Discussions with industry professionals, and lots of opportunities to network with agents, producers, writers, distributors and working professionals in the film industry. Not only is this a great place to have your film screened or your script read, the festival also provides filmmakers an opportunity to conduct market research directly with their audience.
The categories for films are: drama, comedy, computer animation, classic animation, documentary, musical, and educational. Deadline for film and screenplay is January 16, 2011.
The categories for screenplays are: drama, comedy, animation, and sci-fi/fantasy.
Along with Awards for the Best Films and Screenplays, the IFFF presents the most coveted Award of all: the Top Applause Award (the audience favorite).

Film Festival in Cape Town

The Transforming Stories International Christian Film Festival will be held in Cape Town, South Africa on October 15-23, 2010. The deadline for submissions is July 1, 2010.

This festival is sponsored and organized by Humble Pie Entertainment with the Lausanne Congress.

The following Six Themes have been chosen for the festival submissions in 2010:

1. The Gospel- Truth: Making the case for the Truth of Christ in a globalistic and pluralized world.
2. The Gospel- Reconciliation: Building the Peace of Christ in our divided and broken world.
3. The World- Faiths: Living the Love of Christ with people of other faiths.
4. The World- Priorities: Discerning the Will of Christ for 21st century world evangelization.
5. The Church- Integrity: Calling the Church of Christ back to humility, integrity and simplicity.
6. The Church- Partnership: Partnering in the Body of Christ towards a new global equilibrium.

The following Categories and entry fees is applicable for 2010:

Feature Films: 60 – 120 min (over 60 minutes running time) $ 100 (ZAR 800)
Documentaries: 20 - 70 min (over 20 minutes running time) $ 75 (ZAR 600)
Short Films: 4 – 35 min (under 35 minutes running time) $ 40 (ZAR 320)
Short-Shorts: 15 – 90 sec (under 90 seconds running time) $ 40 (ZAR 320)

Timeline:

1 July 2010 - Closing Deadline for Submissions.
20 July 2010 - Semi Finalists selected.
20 August 2010 - Finalists made known to public.
22 August 2010- Ticket bookings for public festival open through Computicket in South Africa.
15- 21 October 2010- National South African Festival Program in 6 theatres in 5 cities showcasing the finalists.
17-23 October 2010- Cape Town 2010 Lausanne Congress Film Festival Program in Cape Town.
21 October 2010- Award Ceremony Event at Cape Town 2010 to Lausanne Congress Attendees.
22 October 2010- Award Ceremony Open to Public in Cape Town.

Awards will include: International Audience Award, $5000 for Best Feature Film, $1000 for Best Documentary, $500 for Best Short Film, and $500 for Best Short Short Film.
